Ashley Iles Carving Tools London Pattern![]() A range of 14 patterns of tools in a unique all bright polished finish. The come in a range of sweeps and widths. The sweeps (ie the shape of the cutting edge) range from a slight curve to a full semi-circle in 9 steps. The widths go from 3/32 in. (2.25 mm.) to 1 in. (25 mm.) in 13 steps. Allongee Pattern Carving gouges![]() These are larger tools with the same quality and finish as the London pattern. They are available in 3 widths: 1 1/4 in. (31 mm.), 1 1/2 in. (37 mm.) and 2 in. (50 mm.). Each width comes in 7 sweeps, covering a slight curve to a full semi-circle. Block cutting tools (or American palm tools))![]() These tools are about half the length of the blades in our London Pattern. This makes them ideal for small or delicate work. Originally there was one set of 6 tools, now there are 7 sets with a total of 31 tools. These include our popular 1/16 in, 60° 'V' tools and the 1/16 in. 45° 'V' tools which are perfect for details such as feathers and fur. All block cutters are made from the same steel and to the same high standard as our full size tools.
